John Wieser

John Wieser

John Wieser, a self-taught artist, was born in 1969 and raised in Altenmarkt/Zauchensee, Austria.

Following parental advice regarding financial security, at an early age he became a Master Carpenter and part-time ski instructor.

However, John soon realized that to him, art would not only become his chosen profession, but his calling.

As a child, the artist was fascinated by the smallest details of nature--whether veins on a maple leaf, animal coats just begging to be touched, or reflections in an eye, later evident in the detailed refinements of his paintings.

Those perceptions eventually combined with rare patience, elaborative skill, technique and execution comparable to the Old Masters.

In 2002, John began to focus his work more on his nude pencil drawings, connecting aesthetics and naturalism in a perfect artistic execution. At the time, his nude-series is one of the most important in this special technique in Europe!

He delights in the entire process, from empty canvas to a thought provoking painting. Not satisfied with just reflecting nature, he incorporates aesthetic harmony, whether animals, landscapes, or the complexities of the human condition, au naturale!
